Desa di Sekitar Sinabung Gelap Gulita Tertutup Abu Vulkanik
Kabanjahe | KABARBERANDA Gunung Sinabung kembali erupsi pada, Senin (10/8/2020), menyemburkan abu vulkanik setinggi 5 Km. Akibatnya sejumlah desa di sekitar Gunung Sinabung terjadi “gelap-gulita” ditutupi abu vulkanik, sehingga kendaraan yang melintas terpaksa menyalakan lampu.
Menurut Bupati Karo Terkelin Brahmana SH MH yang saat ini sedang berada di Pos Pemantauan Gunung Sinabung kepada wartawan, erupsi Gunung Sinabung terjadi dengan tinggi kolom 5 Km dan arah abu vulkanik ke Timur Tenggara dan masih berlangsung sampai dengan saat ini, yang mengakibatkan 3 Kecamatan di sekitar Sinabung, yakni Naman Teran, Kecanatan Berastagi dan Kecamatan Merdeka terpapar abu vulkanik yang cukup tebal.
“Saat ini kita lakukan menyiapkan armada Pemadam Kebakaran dari Damkar Pemkab Karo di Simpang Empat untuk membersihkan dampak abu vulkanik, serta berkordinasi dengan PMI,” ujar Bupati yang saat itu bersama Kapolres Karo AKBP Yustinus Setyo Indriono, Sik, SH , Dandim 0205 TK, Letkol Kav Yuli Eko Hadiyanto, D. Sos , Plt BPBD Karo Natanael perangin Angin, dan Kakan Satpol PP Karo Hendrik Philemon Tarigan, Camat simpang Empat Amsah perangin Angin di Pos Pemantauan Sinabung Kecamatan Simpang Empat.
Menurut Bupati Karo, saat ini Gunung Sinabung berada pada Status Level III (Siaga) dengan rekomendasi masyarakat dan pengunjung/wisatawan agar tidak melakukan aktivitas pada desa-desa yang sudah direlokasi, serta lokasi di dalam radius 3 Km dari puncak Gunung Sinabung, serta radius sektoral 5 km untuk sektor selatan-timur, dan 4 km untuk sektor timur-utara.
Ditambahkan Terkelin, akibat dampak erupsi Sinabung itu, lahan pertanian terkena terpapar debu erupsi Sinabung yang mengakibatkan kerugiaan bagi petani di daerah itu, mengingat sejumlah tanaman hortikultura memasuki masa panen.
Lebih lanjut, Terkelin sudah mengintruksikan ke jajaran OPD bekerjasama dengan camat agar mendata seng atap rumah penduduk yang rusak dampak semburan abu vulkanik gunung sinabung. Sebutnya
Berdasarkan investigasi wartawan di lapangan, sejumlah desa dan tiga kecamatan di sekitar Gunung Sinabung sepertinya "gelap gulita" karena ditutupi abu vulkanik. Debu material Gunung Sinabung saat ini lebih tebal dibandingkan debu letusan pada hari Sabtu (8/8/2020).
Akibat erupsi kali ini, warga sekitar tidak berani ke luar rumah dan mengharapkan kepada instansi terkait segera dikerahkan untuk membersihkan abu vulkanik yang terkena ke atap seng rumah warga dan di badan jalan.
