Kebakaran Ditengah Guyuran Hujan, 5 Pintu Tinggal Puing.
Kabanjahe | KABARBERANDA – Meski hujan mengguyur namun tak memadamkan api yang melalap lima pintu rumah warga di jalan Samura Gang Merek Kelurahan Gung Negri Kecamatan Kabanjahe Kabupaten Karo Jumat (1/10/21). Kelima rumah itu satu diantaranya rumah induk dan 4 rumah petak.
Kebakaran terjadi sekira pukul 11.15 wib disaat hujan. Tim damkar, TNI, Polisi, pegawai kelurahan beserta warga lingkungan Gang Merak turut membantu memadamkan api yang dengan cepat menjalar.
Perdinan Manihuruk (62), pemilik rumah dan kontrakan menyesali rumahnya habis terbakar, barang-barang tidak dapat diselamatkan. “Jikapun ada yang masih bisa dikeluarkan dari rumahnya hanya kain-kain dari lantai satu. Sementara dari lantai dua tidak dapat disentuh sama sekali dan musnah terbakar” ujarnya.
Fitri (Mak Rara) salah seorang yang menyewa rumah mengungkapkan api berasal dari rumah kontrakan nomor 2 yang penghuninya tidak ada di rumah.
Setelah melihat api dari rumah sebelah, Fitri berusaha memanggil anak pemilik rumah yang sedang ada di dalam. Fitri berlari ke rumah induk sambil berteriak “kak api kak! Kebakaran, kebakaran…”
Mereka berdua berusaha membongkar pintu rumah kontrakan yang menjadi asal api. Namun api terlalu cepat menghanguskan seisi rumah sebelum gembok terbuka.
Api terus membesar hingga menjalar ke rumah sebelah dan menghabiskan semua isi rumah beserta rumah induk.
Beruntung, api tidak sempat melebar ke rumah tetangga sebelah karena kesigapan petugas damkar dan warga sekitar kebakaran.
Dari pantauan di tempat kebakaran hanya tembok dan sedikit bagian atas rumah tetangga yang sempat dijilat si jago merah.
Anggota DPRD Karo, Rapi Ginting SH, menyarankan korban kebakaran melaporkan kepada lurah tentang kerugian termasuk surat-surat kewarganegaraan agar dapat nantinya dibuat kembali. Lurah Gung Negri juga sangat mengapresiasi untuk data korban kebakaran tersebut.
